About this event
Harpham Flat to Sandy Beach, the last 10.4 miles of Soggy Sneakers, 5th Ed; run #184.
At 3500 - 3800 cfs, it's big water, big waves, big fun! (see video link under "Location") You want to be comfortable in class 3 water. Most rapids are of forgiving drop-pool character, except Oak Springs which is rated 4 on the BLM guide because of its length and rocky nature. There will be time to scout all the relevant rapids from the road. We'll run the same segment on both days.
CAMPING: Maupin City Park, tent camp sites, roughly in the range between sites 12 to 22, two vehicles per site. Paddlers make their own reservation.
