South Santiam River Class 1 Lebanon Area

Continuing down river from last Saturday, this paddle will be 7 1/2 miles going past Lebanon to a private property takeout. The river in this stretch has flow with much less intense gravel bar and standing wave. We will have a short portage around a weir. This paddle is suitable for beginners who have some basic maneuvering skill. Some sections will be slow flowing pools which may appeal to our flat water paddlers. Log on to WKCC website and register to receive further information about the launch, shuttle, and takeout.
