Muddy Creek Class 1, Thursday Evening After Work Paddle

Have you ever paddled the Willamette River near the Corvallis Hwy 34 bypass and noticed a little creek upstream of the bypass on the East Bank of the Willamette?
And that creek strangely flows clear & cold even late summer?
That channel would be the confluence of Linn County’s Muddy Creek.
Did you know the water sources from the McKenzie River near the Coburg Road Bridge (Close to where I-5 crosses the McKenzie)?
An irrigation lift station (The Muddy Creek Irrigation Company) draws water from the McKenzie, fills an irrigation canal which passes through culverts under Coburg, then flows north through a canal in the eastern Willamette Valley to augment Muddy Creek southeast of Harrisburg. Visit the WKCC Website and register for this paddle to receive launch, shuttle and takeout information. Paddle will be about 3 miles, we will be off the river well before dark.
When:
Thursday, July 18, 2019, 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM
