SS #49 6.5 miles varying between class 1-2 The Umpqua flows through bedrock in many areas creating multiple little straight chutes which are nearly hypnotic in the pleasure of finding your line. A good chance someone will get wet but with warm temperatures and low humidity becoming chilled is not an issue. Helmets needed on this paddle as there are areas of class 2. Not beginner water, this paddle is a step up in moving water. A carpool from the Mid Willamette Valley is possible, Camping overnight Friday evening is possible as we register and input the wants of the group.
