Yes this is a copy of a popular LCCC event. The Sweetheart Paddle recognizes Valentines Day, this year it will be on Saturday February 13th. The paddle will be on a calm section of Class 1, (moving water) about a 2 hour paddle. Weather is hard to predict this time of year, so if weather is poor on Saturday, the event may postpone to Sunday Feb 14th. Flows change daily this time of year, so the venue may change when we check conditions the day before the paddle. The Paddle will likely be on the lower Calapooia, or lower Muddy Creek. Shuttle within your own household (it may require driving 2 vehicles). I coined it "anti-carpooling" Dress for cold water and cold temperatures, Dry Suits are preferred for winter paddles. Since the venue will be docile, immersion is not likely.
