Events - Event View

Paddle MF Willamette, starting at Oakridge. Approx. 10 miles total. Two class III rapids, with lots of great scenery, and occasionally an eagle overhead. Relatively high flows mean this run will likely not be too technical, but a few spots will still be challenging or have large waves. Join friends for a few hours on a lovely stretch of water.

You will need to carry your boat uphill a short distance at take out. Standard safety gear required (helmet, flotation, whistle, etc.) The water will be very icy and the day might be partially overcast, so cold weather gear (dry suit, or wet suit) absolutely vital. Bring a small snack.

It is critical that paddlers be able to control their boats to maneuver around dangerous potential wood.

We are making special arrangements through a generous club member so that we will not have to leave cars unattended at the takeout.
