In this section the river enters the floor of the Willamette Valley and presents as calmer moving water with a few light splashes. Last year this section was quite woody, but presented no blockages. At the present low flow the river is not pushy, pinning is unlikely. A paddler should have some boat control skill, and should have a boat that is tough and maneuverable. This paddle is suitable for Learners, it will bump up your game as you will need to actively read the river and choose your line.
