Club Meeting in Eugene Tuesday, February 25 at 7 PM

Announcement: WKCC’s winter meeting will take place in Eugene on Tuesday, February 25. 

Speakers: Marcel Bieg and Steve Connelly are putting together our program. Marcel to talk about safety. Steve to talk about a couple of recent near misses and showcase a couple of our local creek runs.

Location: Viking Braggot Southtowne Pub at 2490 Willamette Street, Eugene
Time: 7:00

Viking Braggot has a separate meeting room that’s quiet, and also has modern A/V equipment and great food and beverages. Of special note is their Tuesday’s Burger and Brew deal for $12. 

Get there early to order food and socialize. Mark will be there with t-shirts and Soggy Sneakers, Ed. 5 for sale.

FYI  WKCC has four member meetings a year. The next will be our spring program. We try to rotate location between Eugene and Corvallis.

Many thanks everyone for making the 21st annual WKCC Safety Weekend 2019 a huge success!! We had 33 participants and 14 volunteers. Who’d think that practicing safety could be so much fun!!

The Willamette Kayak and Canoe Club has a membership of over 300, and is based in the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. The club's goals are to:

Where Are Our Members From?


Waterway Access & Aquatic Invasive Species Permits for boats 10 feet & longer.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2020, the Oregon Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Permit required for non-motorized boats 10 feet and longer will be replaced by a Waterway Access Permit. The AIS Permit will remain for out-of-state motorized boats and is included in Oregon boat registration fees.

Oregon Invasive Species Permits Now called Waterway Access Permit is required on boats 10ft or longer.  $7/day, $19/year, $30/two year. Available on-line or at BiMart, Walmart, and others.

Washington State also requires a Discover Pass to park at most state park boat ramps. $10/day or $30 /year plus processing fee.
