A 3.3 mile paddle on the South Santiam. In this section the river is free of wood. This is a good paddle for learners and newbies, helmets are not required. Being reservoir fed the flow is good all Summer, the water will be cold.
The takeout is good using a gravel bar on private property. Register for this paddle to receive an Email Wednesday evening with details about the shuttle, launch and takeout.
