About this event
A splashy 8.6 mile paddle on a section of river that does not get much attention. It's a classic class 2 pool drop run, too much for beginners but perfect for class 2 boaters. Class 1 boaters should pick a shorter first class 2 run, especially on 90F+ days. We have had a few swimmers on this run. There's one spot where the current sometimes tends to funnel you into willows, and another spot or two where the current can push you into rock walls.
The launch at the hatchery is down a steep boat slide. The Takeout is an easy developed Boat Launch. Short maneuverable craft are recommended, bring a helmet. Register for this paddle to receive an Email Friday evening with details about the Launch, Shuttle, and Takeout.
