McKenzie: Olallie to Belknap covered Bridge
About this event
Join friends on the upper McKenzie, starting at 11:00am on Saturday, August 3. Olallie to Belknap covered bridge.
This run is largely class 2/2+, with some busy and rocky sections, and with class 3 “Fish Ladder” rapid. Paddlers must have solid directional control of boats to avoid hazards (for example, hazardous strainers), and some larger holes/rocks. This run is not for beginners.
The water is very cold, so proper cold-water gear--a dry suit or wet suit--is vital and required.
Sign up via the WKCC website. Specific meet up details will be sent to those who are signed up, on the day before the event.
We will confirm air/smoke conditions the day of the paddle, and we will make adjustments if the smoke is heavy.
