Corvallis Peace Flotilla / Hiroshima Nagasaki Commemoration
About this event
Every year Corvallis commemorates the victims of the bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki with a riverfront event that is closed by a flotilla of canoes and kayaks coming down the river, lighted with Japanese lanterns. You are invited to join us for this short meditative paddle in honor of peace. We will be off the water by nightfall, and may have an escort from the Benton County Sheriff's Marine Patrol, for safety at dusk.
Location
We assemble at Crystal Lake Boat Launch in Willamette Park in Corvallis, and take off at Michael's L
