About this event
A 9 miles paddle of a moving water section of the Deschutes River through the High Desert Canyon and Warm Springs Reservation. SS #184 (first 9 miles). Excellent section for beginners, a few dancing riffles, wood is scant, shade is scarce. The Launch and Takeout are developed and easy. A great section for voluntary swimming and self-rescue practice. Expect to see the Wild Horses on river left as we go through the Warm Springs Reservation.
Option for 2nd day trip on the Maupin section will require a second night of camping. There is a small fee for camping. Register for this paddle to receive an email Thursday evening with details about the Launch, Shuttle, and Takeout.
