Events - Event View

This is an easy Class 2 section of the Siletz River (SS, 5th Ed., #15 on pg. 51). It is appropriate for moderately experienced whitewater paddlers with good boat control and river reading abilities. This is not a complete beginning paddlers' trip. Some rocky spots, so rec boats aren't appropriate.

It's a scenic run with several surf spots (ledges) near the take out. The coast river levels are difficult to predict in advance. There is rain in the Friday forecast, so we'll need to monitor the river level. Unless it rains hard, the river level should be good for this trip.

We'll meet at Twin Bridges (a.k.a., Sam's Creek) at 11:00 AM, then drive up to the put in adjoining Moonshine County Park.
