Events - Event View

We run this section of the Siuslaw both for the whitewater and the exceptional scenery. Above the confluence with Lake Creek, it is pool/drop with a few good Class II/III- drops that occur under antique rail trestles (c. 1907-1913). Some of those pools are long-ish flatwater. Below the confluence, the river is very wide with lots of Class II ledges, a couple of Class III drops, and incredible sandstone cliffs in places (SS 5th ed., p. 58, #20 with several additional miles below the confluence). We'll meet at the Lane County Tide Wayside/Park at 11AM.
