Soggy Sneakers (5th Ed.) #17, p. 53 is only accurate for this section of the Alsea. This section has lots of Class 1 ledges and riffles, and many are harder at low water because they only have one clear chute. Some of these chutes have sizable standing waves. However, even at ~575 cfs, this section can be run without grounding out. Even at low water, Rock Crusher and Hellion are still Class 2 with big waves.

We'll meet at the Five Rivers launch (MP ~20.3) at 11 AM, drop boats at the put-in, and then run the shuttle. We'll have a brief stop for lunch, possibly at Blackberry CG.
