Kayak Roll Sessions in Western Oregon pools
When open, these are usually self-lead events where you bring your own gear. Some are drop in, other's require preregistration. Best to call ahead. Most have no formal lessons but other boaters are happy to give tips. It’s a great way to meet other boaters and plan trips. Rinse out your boat before putting in the pool and have fun!!

Eugene/Springfield area Pools--Call before going

2. UO Student Rec Center pool, OPEN a few Wednesdays each quarter for students. Must sign up with the UO Outdoor Program 541-346-4371. 7-8:30pm. $6/$10.
3. Willamalane Park Swim Center OPEN Mondays & Wednesdays starting Sept 23, 2024. 7:30-9:00. Drop in. $8 /$11. 1276 G. St, Springfield, OR. 541-736-4080.
Portland Area Pools
- Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center in Beaverton is open occasionally, contact them for details. 503-629-6310
- Oregon Ocean Paddling Society rents a pool during the winter months. Contact them for details.
- North Clackamas Aquatic Park updated October 2024: Contact Oregon Kayak & Canoe Club for up-to-date information. 7300 SW Harmony Rd, Portland.
- Hood River Aquatic Center open Sunday 9-noon. Call to confirm. $5-6.
- McMinnville Aquatic Center (MAC) is open on these dates for kayak practice in 2024/2025: Dec 7, Jan 11, Jan 18, Feb 8, Feb 22. 8:45am to 10am. 138 NW Park Dr. 503-434-7309. Check their Facebook page for updates.
Salem Pool

Newport & Toledo pools
