South Santiam Waterloo to Payne Rd. Class 1+

Launching below the Falls at Waterloo, this South Santiam paddle will be 7.5 miles utilizing a private property takeout below Lebanon which adds a fun section below Lebanon which is not usually paddled. Being below the hydro dams there is much less wood than upper reaches.  This paddle has the Lebanon Weir to portage (City of Lebanon's Drinking Water Supply), and a long slack pool above the weir. In some areas the river flows through bedrock which creates play features and has some minor splashiness. Skill level not suitable for a newbie, a paddler will need to read the water, and choose their course. If you are unsure of your abilities we do have some options to pair you with a skilled paddler in a tandem canoe. Just 20 minutes off I-5 its a fairly nearby paddle that is under enjoyed.
Register for this paddle on the WKCC website (registration activates your club insurance) to receive an Email with details about the launch and takeout.

For all WKCC club trips:
1) The club's insurance policy requires all trip participants to sign the liability waiver. If you are inviting others on the trip please be sure they register online to sign the waiver. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER OTHERS; EVERY PADDLER MUST REGISTER THEMSELF.

2) Parents/legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 must also sign the liability waiver. If you are under 18 please be sure your parent or legal guardian completes their portion of the registration form.

3) PFD with whistle is required per club safety guidelines and Oregon State law.
