Long Tom River Class 1, Monroe to Confluence

The Long Tom being re-channeled in the 1940's today lacks natural meandering. With flow from Fern Ridge Reservoir the Long Tom supplies irrigation needs along its path. It presents as a shallow low constant flow paddle that is suitable for learners. There will be some historical curiosities to see, and we will be able to visit Willamette Riverkeeper's Norwood Island to scout it towards any future uses (maybe camping) Having private landowners permission for takeout access we will paddle through the confluence section which the public rarely sees. Visit the WKCC website to register for this paddle (registering activates your club insurance)

For all WKCC club trips:
1) The club's insurance policy requires all trip participants to sign the liability waiver. If you are inviting others on the trip please be sure they register online to sign the waiver. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER OTHERS; EVERY PADDLER MUST REGISTER THEMSELF.

2) Parents/legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 must also sign the liability waiver. If you are under 18 please be sure your parent or legal guardian completes their portion of the registration form.

3) PFD with whistle is required per club safety guidelines and Oregon State law.
