A 7.5 mile paddle on the cold splashy McKenzie. This section is woody below Bellinger, a paddler needs the skill to stay clear of wood in swift current. Bellinger is Lane County Parks, a $5.00 parking permit is needed. The paddle is mostly moving Class 1, of about 2,000cfs, the most challenging area is a ledge just above Hayden Bridge, with a class 2 drop. The ledge can be scouted from Hayden Bridge. Launch and takeout will be on gentle developed boat launches. Visit the WKCC website to register for this paddle to receive an Email with details about the Launch, Shuttle, and Takeout. For all WKCC club trips: 1) The club's insurance policy requires all trip participants to sign the liability waiver. If you are inviting others on the trip please be sure they register online to sign the waiver. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER OTHERS; EVERY PADDLER MUST REGISTER THEMSELF. 2) Parents/legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 must also sign the liability waiver. If you are under 18 please be sure your parent or legal guardian completes their portion of the registration form. 3) PFD with whistle is required per club safety guidelines and Oregon State law.
