Calapooia River Wednesday After Work Class 1+

The Lower Calapooia to Confluence about 3 miles. We laid eyes on the Calapooia tonight and realized there is enough of a trickle to squeeze out a boney Summer ride. Flow is about 30-40cfs, enough to keep the pools filled and to grind down through the gravel bars. Your best success will be in shallow drafting paddle craft such as plastic canoes, larger plastic kayaks, and IK's. This paddle is suitable for beginners. Register for this paddle on the WKCC website to receive Email with specific information about the launch, shuttle, and takeout. (registering activates your club insurance)

For all WKCC club trips:
1) The club's insurance policy requires all trip participants to sign the liability waiver. If you are inviting others on the trip please be sure they register online to sign the waiver. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER OTHERS; EVERY PADDLER MUST REGISTER THEMSELF.

2) Parents/legal guardians of participants under the age of 18 must also sign the liability waiver. If you are under 18 please be sure your parent or legal guardian completes their portion of the registration form.

3) PFD with whistle is required per club safety guidelines and Oregon State law.
