Great Willamette River Cleanup October 23
WKCC is organizing the on-the-water cleanup in Eugene from Clearwater Park to Aspen/D Street Boat Ramp on October 23. This is a bring-your-own-boat event. I hope you can join us. Please click the "Register Now" button for details and to register. <br /><br />Please bring your own boat, be self-shuttled and ready at 10am for instruction and safety talk. We are planning to launch at 10:30am. If you need help with arranging your shuttle, please contact me.<br /><br />This event is part of the month long cleanup series put on by Willamette Riverkeeper. There are 20+ events being planned on a variety of dates from Portland to Oakridge. There are on-land as well as more on-water options to chose from. For details on all of the cleanups check willametteriverkeeper.org<br /><br />Over the past 18 months, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Willamette River and many other places in our great outdoors have experienced record usage in terms of visitors and recreation. Unfortunately, this has led to a lot of trash and debris left behind. Your river needs you more than ever, please sign up to volunteer for one of the cleanups. LET’S HAVE SOME FUN AND DO GOOD!<br /><br />We will adhere to any updated social distancing guidelines, and working in smaller than usual groups in order to protect ourselves while we help preserve the beauty of the Willamette River.
