Calapooia, McKercher Park to Brownsville, Class 1+

Launch is below the Falls at McKercher and will present like a shallow gravely creek. Very similar in appearance to the Lower McKenzie but smaller in width and volume. The last time we paddled this was in 2020, this section was surprisingly absent of woody debris. This is a seasonal paddle we need to do before the flow drops for Summer. Best success will be in shallow drafting plastic canoes and IK's. Distance 7.5 miles. Launch & takeout are primitive but near our vehicles.
