A strand of the Willamette River, the West Channel forms the west side of Kiger Island. This is a moving water paddle in minimal current which is suitable for learners and newbies. Launching from private property we will paddle up the West Channel to our satisfaction, then reverse and come down the West Channel returning to our point of launch. No shuttle needed for this paddle. Come enjoy an evening on the water and hear stories of Settlers, Willamette Steamships serving this area 150 years ago, and the story of Booneville, platted near the present day Corvallis Airport.
