Please consider giving up an evening for the Peace Flotilla.<br /><br />--------------------<br /><br />As part of the Commemoration of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, a Peace Flotilla of canoes and kayaks will close the downtown ceremony.<br /><br />This is a twilight event timed to be off the water at Michael&#39;s Landing<br />before dark.<br /><br />As in previous years, the boats will be lit with Japanese-style lanterns.<br /><br />The floating procession is intended to be a solemn experience, in keeping with<br />the theme of remembrance of the victims of the bombings.<br /><br />If you are an experienced boater with an evening to spare in dedication to<br />peace, please contact Andi Stephens: Andi.Q.Stephens@gmail.com.<br /><br />NOTE that we will be off the water before dark, even though it&#39;s more dramatic the darker it gets.
