Events - Event View

This is a great section of river just outside Philomath. There are a few fun rapids but overall it's a more laid-back float down a narrow winding river. The forecast for Wednesday is around 750cfs but that could change quickly. Expect steady current, fun surf waves, and great scenery.

The biggest challenge on this paddle will be wood! Depending on the water level, we may have to portage at least one log and there may be others. Paddlers must have good boat control in swift current and the ability to avoid wood. There is video of this section on the WKCC Facebook page at 950cfs. Helmets and throw ropes are required.
