Mehama to Stayton - Class 2
This is a beautiful 10 mile stretch of the North Santiam river. There are a couple of class 2 spots but overall its a fairly straightforward class 1 paddle. The forecast is for over 4,000cfs so paddlers should have the ability to control their boat in moving water and be prepared for some pushy water. This paddle would be suitable for an adventurous beginner. Helmets are required, drysuits/wetsuits are recommended but not required.
