Willamette, Eugene, Class 2, Marist to Marshall
A moving water paddle of about 10 miles on a good section of Willamette not often done. We launch from near Marist High School, this paddle will include the Marist Rapids which presents as some ledge and wave trains with splash. There will be some some large wood in the river, paddlers will need boat control skill to keep out of wood. We will pass the confluence of the McKenzie entering the Willamette and will see rolling hydraulics. Breeze and wind can be present this time of year. Not suitable for a 1st time paddler, this can be a good paddle for someone who has basic boat control and seeks to up the splash over simple moving water. Register for this paddle to receive an Email Monday evening with details about the launch, shuttle and takeout.
