President Patti Gordon will conduct a short business meeting. The 2-year term of four of our members serving on the Board of Directors will be ending soon and so we will be electing four members to replace them.

Our speaker will be Rob Blickensderfer. Topic: 54 Years Down the John Day River.

Come before 7 pm for food and beverages. Visit old friends. Make new friends.

Safety Weekend 2020, July 25/26. Signup starts in the spring. Stay tuned!!


Many thanks everyone for making the 21st annual WKCC Safety Weekend 2019 a huge success!! We had 33 participants and 14 volunteers. Who’d think that practicing safety could be so much fun!!

The Willamette Kayak and Canoe Club has a membership of over 300, and is based in the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. The club's goals are to: 

  • Organize paddling trips on all types of water, all over Oregon and other Western states, for its members.
  • Help members acquire the confidence and skills needed for kayaking and canoeing.
  • Promote the enjoyment, challenges, thrills, and camaraderie of kayaking and canoeing.
  • Promote and practice water safety.
  • Help conserve, preserve and protect the free-flowing rivers of Oregon.
