Linn County OR in proximity of Brownsville OR

In this section the river enters the floor of the Willamette Valley and presents as calmer moving water with a few light splashes. Last year this section was quite woody, but presented no blockages. At the present low flow the river is not pushy, pinning is unlikely. A paddler should have some boat control skill, and should have a boat that is tough and maneuverable. This paddle is suitable for Learners, it will bump up your game as you will need to actively read the river and choose your line. Register for this paddle to receive an Email Tuesday evening with details about the Launch, Shuttle, and Takeout.

I paddled this about 20 years ago and do not recall anything that would cause issues. This should be a gentle simple moving water paddle. I need to lay eyes on this section again and verify its suitability to paddling on this section with learners and youth. The launch while undeveloped is shallow, clean and easy. The takeout is primitive; there is a steep to climb. Distance 7 miles, unless the group chooses to add the 3 miles starting at Lebanon, this would then be a 10 mile paddle. Register for this paddle to receive an Email Friday evening with details about the Launch, Shuttle, and Takeout.

This paddle is the "Moving Water" offering for our Club gathering. The Takeout for this paddle will deliver you to Hendricks Park which is the location of our club gathering and picnic in the afternoon. While not true White Water, this is a sassy moving water section with some splash. It is marginally suitable for a beginner, you will need boat control to obtain your line and stay off obstacles. You need a boat that is maneuverable and durable. This paddle with have a large attendance of seasoned paddlers with skills to help should an upset occur, upsets in the past have been scant on this section. Distance about 9+ miles. Both the Launch and Takeout are developed and easy. Register for this paddle to receive an Email Friday evening with details about the Launch, Shuttle, and Takeout.
