This is the classic Packsaddle section of the North Santiam with a take-out at Fisherman‘s Bend (there will most likely be an optional takeout at Mill City as well). Beautiful Class 3 section of water including The Swirlies, Spencer‘s Hole, Carnivore, and Mill City Falls. Forecast is for 1300cfs which is a fun level.
Helmets are required. Feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Boston Mill near Shedd OR
The stunning setting of the Historic Boston Mill Pond near Shedd OR. This is a still water paddle set up to support the scheduled training of AHG Scout Leaders. This paddle is highly suitable for all Club Learners and Newbies too as it is being set up as a paddle training event. WKCC members role is supporting these learners with safety and paddle mentoring. Again we are working with training Adult AHG Scout Leaders, not Youth.
Register for this paddle to receive details on the event and location.
Class 1+/2 and approximately 8 miles. Mary‘s River is a beautiful
and isolated stretch of water. The take out is one mile west of
Philomath. Solid ferrying skills are needed to avoid brush
and wood. Soggy Sneakers, page 172 has a descriptive write up.

A big thank you to Darren and Brian for clearing the two
portages and lots of brush with power and hand saws:)
This will most likely be a Packsaddle to Fishermans Bend trip but I‘ll make the decision at the end of this week when we have a better idea of water levels.

Trout Creek to Maupin. Deschutes River
Hey All,
June 16-18
For this unique kayaking opportunity Gradient River Essentials will be partnering with Oregon River Experiences. An outfitted overnight kayaking trip down one of Oregon‘s prettiest canyons. 45 miles of excellent whitewater to hoan skills and development. Rapids are safe enough for beginners and thrilling enough for the experienced! Focus your energy on the kayaking skill development as the raft guides carry your gear and cook delicious meals for our trip.
I will leave it open for WKCC members first if you would secure spots. This would be a great experience for an overnight trip with other club members, AND get to work on improving paddling skills. 11 participants maximum. Let me know if I can answering any questions!
Lee
We are booking this trip through ORE‘s web page.
