Pudding River near Canby Oregon
No shuttling needed. Free parking at the bridge, we can paddle up river till we decide to turn around and float back to our vehicles. Water is slow now. Pretty low and warm, so should be an easy trip. There are places where we will need to get out and pull the boats upriver by ropes. Perhaps better for kayaks, but I’ve been out there plenty of times in my Old Town canoe. Entrance point is slightly steep, but it’s been cleared out recently. Pretty easy for 2 people to handle. And the fishing is great! Likely to see no one else on the water all day, very private area. Really hoping some folks will be interested to join!! I‘d love to show off one of my very favorite places in Oregon.
Linn County OR near Harrisburg OR
Main Channel Willamette similar to Peoria to Corvallis. <5 miles, several gravel bars where the river speeds up. There has been large wood in the river, a paddler needs boat control to stay clear of this wood. This is a suitable paddle for learners with boat control. Evening wind is possible. The launch and takeout are developed and easy. Register for this paddle to receive a Tuesday evening Email with details about the Launch, Shuttle, and Takeout.
Class 3, 8.3 miles with many surf waves. Bring
a lunch for a fun lazy day on the water.

continuous splashy fun on the lower half Olallie run and top half Paradise run.
Join friends for an afternoon paddle of the mid/upper-McKenzie, starting at 1:00pm on Sunday, July 28. Put in at McKenzie Bridge. Around 10 miles total.
The run starts out with its most challenging rapids, then mellows out as we travel down the river. Yet there are still harder lines, play spots, or surf opportunities for those who like to slow down and seek those out. The great water, pretty scenery, and the deepening shadows of the afternoon sun all make this a lovely run.
Although this is not a class 3 run, there are a number of challenging spots, and the first 1-2 miles are very busy and rocky--this section in particular requires solid basic technical skills. Paddlers must have solid directional control of boats to avoid hazards (for example, hazardous strainers), and some larger holes/rocks. This run is not for beginners.
The water is very cold, so proper cold-water gear--a dry suit or wet suit--is vital and required.
Sign up via the WKCC website. Specific meet up details will be sent to those who are signed up on the day before the event.
